New Celling Fan!!!

For Valentines Day I received a new celling fan for our master bedroom. We REALLY needed a new one! The old one was original with the house and its prime days were over. Shawn installed it yesterday evening while I was at the gym. I was so excited when I got home and saw it! Now our master bedroom is complete! Thank You Honey! (and yes that is Aiden's head in the lower right hand corner of the picture he was watching Word World and I couldn't get him to move, its his VERY favorite show!)

Valentines Day at The Ellington's

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! Shawn got up and went and got us breakfast this morning from Mcds! yumm! For Valentines Day, I bought Aiden some new luggage for our up coming trip to Disney World and Shawn got a shirt and some cute Valentines Day boxer shorts! I also made this sign for our front yard and put it out last night after everyone went to bed. They were both very surprised this morning when they saw it!

Aiden really didn't want to take the above picture, he wanted to be out in the garage working on the race car with his dad and pop pa! He really liked the new suitcase though!

Our Wild Tuesday!

Tuesday started out to be a pretty normal day. I took Aiden to school, did some shopping, and went and worked out. When I was on my way to pick up Aiden from school things started to get a little more exciting!

On my way to get Aiden, I decided to stop really quick at the grocery store and pick up a few items. While shopping in the store the tornado sirens started sounding. The store manager started rounding everyone up to take cover in the bathrooms at the back of the store. There was not any way I was going to stay there and take shelter at Homeland, when I had no idea what was going on at my sons school! So I ran to my truck and started heading toward the school. Besides, I had checked the weather before I left the house and there was a Severe Thunderstorm warning but it did not seem like anything to serious, just heavy rain. I had only drove about a mile further before it started to get a little more serious than I anticipated. That's when the rain pretty much stopped, and the
golf ball size hail started. As I drove on further the golf balls started getting larger. I was frantically trying to get in touch with Shawn, but of course when you need your cell phone the most, the calls never seem to go through. I started trying to use my ON STAR but the hail was so loud (and I'm sure my voice was so stressed) that they could not hear the phone number correctly and kept dialing the wrong number. I wanted to scream! Finally, I got through to Shawn and was telling him what was going on when a hail stone about the size of a baseball cracked my front windshield. I screamed! Keep in mind, this is while I'm trying to drive around trash cans and debris that are in the road, not to mention the idiots that were just stopping in the middle of the road not knowing what to do. By the time I reached Aidens school the hail was about the size of grapefruits! (There are pictures of these floating around I will try to post one later. ) Luckily, there was not a significant amount of this extremely large hail! Never the less I quickly parked my truck and ran inside where I was directed to the storm shelter. Aiden was very quick to tell me the whole story from his point of view. The tornado sirens started going off while they were taking their nap. The teachers quickly woke them up and put there shoes on them and hurried them down stairs. Thank God they did this so quickly. The second story classroom windows were blown out seconds later! Aiden and I stayed at the school in the shelter until they gave us the all clear, and we quickly went back home. We took shelter 2 more times that afternoon as more funnel clouds were reported in the Yukon area. I usually do not get scared or worried about severe weather but driving through it is a whole other experience, I would not recommend!

Aiden turned "The Big 3" on Sunday! Many of Aidens friends and family joined us at the Play Zone in Mustang to celebrate. The Play Zone has a large inflatable obstacle course and a jump house. We also had pizza and a cookie cake. I think everyone had a great time. Aiden said it was his best birthday ever! Every time I took a picture the kids would want to see them so, I thought I would post the pictures on my blog so everyone could check them out! Thank You to everyone who joined us at the party and for all of the Birthday Wishes from those who couldn't attend! (If you would like to view the picture larger just click on them =)
