The Girls

The girls, Abbey and Lucy, took a much needed trip to the groomers this week, so I thought I would show them off a little. Liddy didnt get to go because she is still too small, however she did get a new sweater! The first picture is of Lucy watching her new favorite movie, Christmas Santa Buddies! I just thought it was funny!

Christmas 2009

We had a wonderful Christmas here at the Ellington household. The best part was the Christmas Eve Blizzard. The airport reported 13 inches of snow fell. That was a new record for OKC. Although it was not welcome by some, we loved it!!! Christmas day, after the storm had passed, we got out and Aiden did some sledding down the driveway and made quite a few snow angels. He had the most fun doing the snow angels and stomping around the in snow. Shawn and I had the most fun just watching Aiden!

A wonderful 4 years.....

Wednesday Shawn and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary. Shawn was able to come home early from work which was nice. These last for years have been the most amazing time of my life. Together Shawn and I have done things that I never in my life thought I would do. An example being, this last Sunday I went to the track and raced my Trans Am for the first time ever. I ran a 14.03 at 103 mph in the 1/4 mile. Which I had a great time doing! I cant wait to see what the future has in store for us as we get older, but I know that whatever life brings us it will be amazing because I will be with my Best Friend! The picture is of the dozen roses Shawn bought for me and the newest addition to the Ellington family, a Yorkie named Kipper, weighing in a just under 1lb at 7 weeks old. I bought us tickets to go see the Trans Siberian Orchestra on Sunday so we will have an afternoon/evening out just the two of us! I can't wait......

Aidens A Soccer Star!

This last Saturday was Aidens last soccer game! The Lions are a much improved team as compared to the beginning of the season. The last couple of games they pretty much dominated their opponents. The YMCA doesn't keep score at this age, but my husband Shawn does! :) He always knew what the score was throughout the season and always let us know who was winning. This was a great learning experience for our family as a whole! Next up T-Ball in the Spring, Here we come!

WOW! its been a little bit.

Instead of playing catch up, I'm just going to start fresh! LOL> Last week was Jenn and Rich's Halloween Costume party. Shawn and I and a couple of friends dressed up as KISS. From left to right Rob, Casey, Shawn and Me. We had a great time! I'm not sure what we are going to be for my broker's Halloween Costume Party yet though. Aiden is determined he wants to be a kangaroo or hippopotamus. So we will have to see what we can come up with.
Aiden is continuing to play soccer and getting better every week! Hopefully I can get some good pictures of his game this weekend. I always seem to forget the camera, or when I have taken it the battery's are dead.

Texas Tech Spirit????

We went to the lake this last weekend, and when I was looking through the pictures I noticed this one. Aiden was trying to give a thumbs up, but was having a hard time getting it right. I thought all of my Texas Tech die-hard's might enjoy this picture the most. Go Raiders! Just dont tell Shawn or we will all be in trouble! LOL. Just kidding. The next picture is just one that cracked me up and I thought it might make you smile too! Enjoy! And just for good karma, BOOMER SOONER. =)

The Palo Duro Canyon

Lolly Gavin and Aiden

Aiden and his newest cousin Cademon

Family PIC! ;)

The boys doing some climbing before the show.

Were really not sure what Aiden was doing, lately he has been trying all of these new poses when we try to take his picture..

Yesterday was a Brown/Ellington family outing to the Palo Duro Canyon. Aiden and I rode with my parents to Amarillo, and Shawn met us there by coming down from Beaver Oklahoma where he is currently working. We were all very excited because my parents were taking everyone to the play "Texas". Growing up I remember this play very clearly. We did not attend the play every summer growing up, but probably every few summers. I was really looking forward to seeing it again! However as the play progressed there were many changes to the storyline, and not really changes for the better in my opinion. You can't change tradition, and after 44 years of putting the play on I don't see why someone would come along and tweak it. But, that's just my opinion. Shawn says it's easier to remember something better than what it was when you were growing up. However, I know it was better, I just wished I could have shared that same experience that I had growing up in the Texas Panhandle with my family now. Oh well, we still had a great time hanging out with my parents and my brothers family and really when it comes down to it, that is all that matters.
