Aiden's room is finally COMPLETE~ We purchased this full size bed for Aiden months ago when he had outgrown his baby/day bed. Since then I have been everywhere I could think of in OKC, and could not find a headboard that I liked for a full size bed. So today, I went to Lowes bought some 3/4 inch particle board. Then Walmart and bought the material. Then this afternoon I made my own padded headboard! Its hard to see in the picture, but the material is actually black and white checkerboard like the racing flags. Anyway, Aiden really likes it. He calls it his race track bed. Oh, and our family is a little obsessed with Lighting McQueen. LOL!

PINKS ALL OUT

This Weekend was PINKS ALL OUT in Ennis Texas. Pinks All Out is a TV show that is on the Speed Channel. We watch all of the Speed Channel Shows at our house... Pinks... Pinks All Out... Pass Times.... Drag Race High.. Bull Run.... etc. So when we heard they were taping a Pinks All Out so close to us we jumped at the chance to go. We were accompanied by about 25 or so cars from the OKC area. It was a lot of fun to go with all of our friends. One car from the OKC area made it into the top 4 which was really exciting! Aiden loves being at the track and loves watching the show but I don't think he put the two together while we were there. I think for him it was just another day at the track. However, he did like to see alllllll of the amazing race cars that were there. (There were about 500 race cars.) His favorite was one of the jet fuel cars! He liked it because it looked like a sheriff car, with lights and everything. It ran a 6 second something in the 1/4 mile, I think at like 240 MPH or something like that!
Doesn't He Look Like A Grown BOY?

Our Night at the Race Track.

You can click the you tube link above to view the full video.

Last night we went to Thunder Valley Drag Race Track just to watch some of our friends race their cars. Both of our cars, the Mustang and the Nova, are torn apart right now. Our friend Striker was racing down the track when he got out of the "groove" (the sticky part of the track). You can see the back end of his car start to come around and that's when he hit his brakes and lost control of the car. It is hard to see in the video because the lights on the time board are blurry, but he slide across the 1/4 mile mark on the roof of his car at 64 MPH! Luckily he has a 10 point roll cage in his car, he was wearing his helmet, and safety harness, and he walked away from the crash with no injuries! Anyone who doesn't believe a roll cage, a helmet, and a harness, will save your life, and races with out one is completely NUTS!

More Disney Magic.....

This is a great picture of my very handsome husband! The first night we were in Florida we drove over to Cocoa Beach. We all ate dinner and then walked out into the water a little. Not to exciting, because it was dark when we got there. However, we did see a crab walking along the beach. I took a picture of it, but sitting in the airport on the way home, Shawn deleted it because he said he couldn't see the crab. Not to sure about that.....

Yes, Gavin is very much asleep. He fell asleep on my brothers shoulders after the fireworks were over. He just couldn't handle any more Disney Magic.

Here is a picture of my parents sporting their Mickey "Ears". My moms ears were monogrammed "Lolly" and my dads "Pop". Believe it or not they wore their ears the rest of the night.

Aiden has become quite the little traveler at the age of 3. He pulled his suitcase through the airports, parking garages, on the escalator, and even tried up these stairs!

Walt Disney World

Here are just 3 of the 240+ pictures that we took on our trip this last weekend to Walt Disney World. The trip was a Christmas gift from my parents to my brothers family and my family. We all had a great time! Thanks Lolly and Pop! We flew out on Thursday morning. Friday we went to Disney's Animal Kingdom which was a lot of fun. On Saturday we spent the entire day at the Magical Kingdom! It was a long day and weekend, but it was well worth it.
