Life.

This last week has been crazy around our house. For those who didn't know we adopted a new dog last week. Another Old English Sheepdog. We had him for two days and loved him it was so much fun with two OES around our house. Then Sat morning Aiden had just gotten up and startled Lennon while he was chewing on a bone and Lennon bit him on the face. I am not making excuses for the dog because there are none, but the dog was just a scared as Aiden and I. Shawn had the dog gone and to the pound, before my mom and I even left for the ER. Aiden didn't really like the nurses cleaning his face up and it was pretty sad. They had to glue two small places on his cheek. After everything was done and we left and came home, Aiden wanted to know when Lennon was coming home. Its pretty hard explaining to a 3 year old that his new dog is not coming home. We just had to tell him that he cant come home because he was not being a very nice dog. Hopefully he will forget about him soon......Other than that Aiden is fine. His face is healing very well. He doesn't like me putting the cream on it so I do that at night and in the morning while he is sleeping. Its a good thing he is such a deep sleeper! I will try to keep everyone posted a little better than I have been its just been pretty crazy. Keep his little face in your prayers, he's a little self conscious about it.

I'm so sorry to hear about the dog bite. I sure hope Aiden feels better real soon. I know what your going through; Josh was bit by our family dog when he was 5. It almost took off his lower lip but the doctor did a good job with the stiches and you don't notice the scare unless you know it is there. You were a lot kinder to the dog than we were. We had ours biopsied for rabies when means the pound decapitated him because that is the only way to check for rabies other than waiting 10 days to see if the dog is sick. By the way...all the ice cream Josh could eat made him feel better. Of course he couldn't open his mouth so that was about the only thing we could drizzle into his mouth.
